About the firm
A law firm built for Nebraska businesses.
CES Law Group gives owners straightforward legal help with the things that keep a company on solid ground: how it's set up, the agreements it signs, and the big moments like bringing in a partner or selling.
Carrie Schwab
Founder & principal attorney
Carrie Schwab is a corporate attorney who helps business owners set up their companies well and keep them on solid ground. Before founding CES Law Group, she practiced at Baird Holm LLP in Omaha, where her work focused on general corporate matters, tax, and employee compensation and benefits.
Carrie came to the law with an owner's perspective. Before law school, she owned and ran a closely held business, so she knows firsthand what it takes to operate and grow a company, and that the most useful legal advice is advice an owner can actually put to work.
She earned her law degree with highest distinction from the University of Nebraska College of Law, where she was Senior Articles Editor of the Nebraska Law Review. She was named to The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch® for Corporate Law in 2026, and she stays active in Lincoln's startup community, including through 1 Million Cups Lincoln.

How we work
Plain language
You'll understand what a document does and why it matters before you sign it.
Fees agreed up front
Most projects are quoted as a flat fee, so you know the cost before work begins.
Prevention first
Good setup and clear agreements head off most of the disputes owners worry about.
How fees work
Every engagement starts with a written letter that sets out the scope and the fee.
Flat fee
For defined projects like forming an LLC or drafting a standard agreement.
Hourly
For negotiations and matters where the scope can't be known in advance.
Monthly retainer
For outside general counsel: ongoing access at a predictable monthly cost.
